Yesterday, one of the things on my to-do list was to go through the piles of papers and stacks of accumulated mail for the past two weeks that the semester end + kalamazoo + grading had kept me from. In there, I found a notice of an overdue bill payment (seriously, I just plain forgot!), and...

    Congratulations! You'd think somebody might have called or something, but my department, too, has a way of silently dropping paper containing truly important information in our otherwise little-used mailboxes, while endlessly haranguing us electronically about everything else. At least this means you have to worry even less about missing something crucial that's left in your mailbox. Enjoy!
