It's so interesting, how the proce...Great post! It's so interesting, how the process of research and writing varies in interest. I tend to enjoy reading the primary sources (though I've never dealt with account books!), but then I usually have a hard time figuring out where to start writing. Once I have some stuff written, though, I love to revise and edit (and am quite ruthless at it, pitching out things that don't *work* to move the thing forward, even when I like the language or the specific points they make).
