A sign of just how bad it's gotten

Still sick.

How sick?

Monday morning, I purchased a latte, but couldn't get through it because swallowing hurt too bad. I transfered it into a travel mug and put it into my fridge to finish later.

As of this writing (Wednesday evening), that remaining one-third of a latte still sits in my fridge. Not only have I not finished it; I have not had any other coffee beverages since that Monday morning attempt.

Those of you who know me know that this is a sign of the end times...

Hope you're downing lattes again soon!

"And I saw, and behold a white horse: and she that sat on him had a bow" but no non-fat extra-foam vanilla latte, and I new the rapture was upon us.

Oh no, not AGAIN? Poor baby; weak tea with lemon and honey, don't count the hours in bed getting well. In fact, take a few fun books in, a thermos with said tea and stay until well.

((((notorious))))

I'd add to Belle's recipe a little shot of whiskey or rum... and some trashy novels.

Oh yeah--trash books, OR really bad movies. I (heh) used iTunes to rent Wedding Daze the other day, and it is just every bit as bad as you could possibly imagine. So, maybe not that one, unless you want a movie that's bad at just about the extreme of imaginable badness. Assassination of Jesse James... is great, though, and very lovely to look at. Strictly Ballroom is my perennial favorite; it can cure/fix/soothe/distract from (delete as necessary, as they'd say over here) nearly everything.

Okay, S -- Assassination, it is. I'm downloading it as a rental right now. Slow connection means that I have an hour in which I resolve to skim two more chapters of the book I'm on, which will get me two-thirds through it.

I'm working again, you see.

Oh, and today, the side of my neck/shoulder area swelled up to the point where my right collarbone simply disappeared. Simultaneously scary and disgusting. Let's hope it's some heretofore somnolent part of my immune system waking up to kick some viral ass.

That sounds like some serious lymphatic action.

Notorious?...Are you still alive? Please say yes!

Because if you say no, that would really creep me out.

I spoke to her yesterday Hilary. She is very much alive, but I'm guessing she hasn't had much coffee lately so I don't think she'll look very alive.
