An irrevocable step

I've done it.

I've contacted two publishers (out of my list of four) who will be at Kalamazoo, and offered them the proposal and sample chapter(s) by about a week before the conference.

NOW I'm motivated to write. Fear will do it every time.

That's so great!!! Tell us when they get back to you! Did you offer to meet them at K'zoo?

Go you!

Thanks for the encouragement, folks. It's only a first step -- I still have to actually produce things. Yes, I'm working. And yes, I offered to meet with them at the 'zoo.

Yipes.

This is very smart. . . you can also sound out other publishers, but setting something up is very wise.

And so good you think you're ready!

Very exciting!! Did you need to tell them that you were showing the proposal to more than one publisher? Keep us posted!

Will do. I'm working on a post on proposals that will go up tonight.
