Turned in my tenure file today at 3 pm.
Now there's only a conference paper (tomorrow at 3) standing between me and a relaxing long weekend with Interesting Development, who arrives tomorrow night.
((begins to breathe again))
EDIT: ...aaaand... I just discovered the 3 typos in my narrative statement. I guess 3 in 12 single-spaced pages won't doom me, but still. Dang it.

oooo, huzzah!
celebration!
You should TOTALLY enjoy your weekend!
And you know, when the book is published, you will open it and almost immediately find a typo or mistake. Like, the second time you open it. I promise. But then, we all do.
way to go!!! Many congrats on turning that in - woo-hoo!
Woo hoo! Congrats!
as for the typos... I read somewhere that certain weavers of Muslim prayer rugs always included a mistake, on purpose, to show that they didn't claim to be perfect, because only God is perfect. So maybe you can look at the typos that way. ;-)
Yay you! Enjoy the weekend, sleep in and wallow in leisure.
Some Amish quilters do that put-in-a-mistake thing, too.
I've heard it about Navajo rug-makers. I'm beginning to suspect a free-floating urban legend.
But that doesn't matter.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
