Mulling the fate of this blog...

...as I approach my fifth blogiversary.  By that point, it will either: (a) transform into something newish, or (b) cease to exist altogether.

Of course, there's always option (a-prime) in which I announce a format/theme change, then slide into doing what I used to do. Actually, that seems pretty likely.

Whatever happens, a lot of it has to do with the fact that I'm only just barely pseudonymous anymore, so this simultaneously constrains and frees me. More on that soon...

Well, Comrade, I haven't been lately (as you might notice), so I've been thinking about what would actually engage me. More to come...

If it helps - I have no idea who you are or where you work. It always sort of astounds me that people spend time trying to figure out who the anonymous blog writers are. Apparently a lot of people on my blog know who I am. (Some have met me on purpose and some have sleuthed it out.) What difference does it really make to the readers? To the writer, it can make a difference, constraining you somewhat. (Maybe that's a blog post waiting to happen...)

I hope you'll keep blogging Notorious, whether in this blog form or in another. I've missed your voice lately!

Notorious, I've been following the blog on and off over the years from the E coast and really enjoy your honesty and sense of humor as you try and juggle it all(I'm a few years behind you career-wise). Hope you keep it up. btw I have no idea who you are, I'm not a medievalist.

I will be by to check on you later on. Good luck with your blog, whichever decision you make.

I do hope the blog doesn't disappear, but if it's going to be reinvented I'm eager to see what you come up with as your voice has always been a distinctive and valuable one. And your pseudonyms for journals and institutions are the best around!
