Well, this is no big surprise.

36

As a 1930s wife, I am
Poor

Take the test!

On the other hand:

71

As a 1930s husband, I am
Superior

Take the test!

(I would have scored higher on the second one if I provided ID with a better allowance or more labor-saving household devices.)

Hmmm...

Wow, I just got a -4 on the wife scale. I think that's because I didn't try very hard on any of the questions that actually involved a husband; I answered the things that I actually do in my single state (and added a "yes" for "puts cold feet on husband to warm up," just for wishful thinking's sake). Apparently I am a failure as a wife, which is sensical since I'm not a wife. Now for the husband test, which I bet I'll also fail!

I'm a failure as a 1930's wife but "Very Superior" as a 1930's husband. This is a problem because since I'm working so little, it really is my job to cook, clean, take care of the kid, and kiss my S.O.'s ass.

Wow, S -- I didn't know you could go into negative numbers. I'm impressed.

Even *I* wouldn't have thought that I'd go into negative numbers on a wifely scale--even knowing that I might not be so cut out for wifehood--but there it is. I didn't do so much better as a husband: 26 or something. But seriously--take that test and answer the questions as a single person has to... and it's not pretty.
