I'm leaving in 36 hours or so

... for a month-long research trip, and my to-do list (see sidebar) has far too many items on it, many of which have to be done in the office, the morning of the day I leave (afternoon departure).

Lord help me.

Note to self: don't let laptop computer get stolen this time.

UPDATE: The Sunday to-do list is done! I mean, I've been living on diet coke all day, but I should be okay, provided I can get up at a decent hour tomorrow.

Have a great time, and post lots of pictures for us! (And, good luck with your research, of course.)

The great thing about leaving home is that once you're on your way to the airport, you can't do anything more so you just have to leave it behind until you return.

Thanks, all! And H is precisely correct: moving beyond panic into calm acceptance is a beautiful thing. But watch the to-do list in the right sidebar.

If anyone wants to see pictures, I'll send you a link to my flickr account.

Have a wonderfully productive trip with lots of great research finds!

Also, may you not crash land on a haunted island with an electromagnetic field that hides it from all radar while a strange cult wanders around kidnapping people. That would be bad.

On the off chance that that comes to pass, Clio, I hereby designate you as proxy for my book MS.

Hooray for summer trips! I will be watching your Flickr account... and hoping that some summer we'll both be in Europe at the same time.
