Glory Hallelujah (third in a series of three tech crisis posts)

The power source/AC adapter is indeed fried.

The motherboard and hard drive are not.

I have a new adapter. All is well. Now, if you´ll excuse me, I´m going home to watch an espisode of Lost on my fully functional computer.

O frabjous day! What a relief; did you have any problems finding the adapter there? Dare one mention work?

Oh, that is wonderful! You now have your music and television entertainment options at either end of a big day's work.

What a relief! 'Lost' and the music are of course the most important survivors.

Thanks, all. And yes, never fear: I am, even now, on my way to the archives (having given over my first day to an evening arrival, my second to jetlag and errands, and my third to getting reacquainted with the Medieval Institute library). An actual work report will be forthcoming.

I'm glad the goddess of computers was watching over you, and only allowed the adapter to fry!

And, enjoy the archives! I *can* take notes with pencil and paper, but my hand hurts afterwards...
